About Me
My name is Eloisa Lamilla Guerrero. My professional training is in social science, as an anthropologist. During the past 5 years, I have worked on many subjects related to intangible cultural heritage with a special focus on beliefs, popular religion, and traditional rituals in Latin America and Western Uganda.
Parallel to this vocation of being a traveling researcher is my passion for dancing and music. Dancing helps me to exist and to interact with the world and the people. I learn so much by feeling and embodying the rhythm of their life.
Currently, I am interested in the complex yet fascinating connection between dance and death during the mourning process. I've been exploring this topic for the past few years and every time I find it more and more appealing to comprehend these practices and bring them into daily conversations.
